“Ivory Moon is a gripping, action packed, and convincing dramatization of the struggle to save the last of the African big game. Heartless poachers, arms dealers and terrorists meet their match in a passionate team of conservation activists and an apprentice female anti-poaching squad. Gentile connects us to the soul of the African landscape, its wildlife, and its people. A spirited, heartfelt read from beginning to end.” – Peggy Turk Boyer, Director EmeritaIntercultural Center for the Study of Deserts and Oceans and a Gulf of California conservation leader
The iconic foursome, Emily Rosen, Jake Spinner, Oliver Sweet, and Derek Robideaux (Snake), aka The Gaia Team, return in the second of the Guardians of Gaia Series. In Tanzania, the team is assigned to bring down the Kinyonga, an elusive and vicious arms dealer, while also training ten young local women to become anti-poaching rangers. Their task seems insurmountable, as Kinyonga always seems to be one step ahead of them. The situation becomes more dire when the arms dealer joins forces with a Somali warlord with ties to a radical terrorist group, with plans for a major terrorist event looming in the near future. As the Gaia Team fights to protect the endangered elephants and other African wildlife, Kinyonga and Al Shabaab place bounties on the heads of Rosen, Spinner, Sweet and Snake and ranger recruits. Outnumbered and outgunned, the Gaia team must utilize all of their skill sets to defeat the imminent threat.
